With the athleticism and endurance held by each individual, cheerleaders risk immense injury all for the joy and adrenaline rush that any sports player feels. After a football player scores a touchdown, a baseball player hits a homerun, or a basketball player gets the three-pointer, there is an adrenaline rush and an “on top of the world” feeling. This is the same for cheerleaders when the stunt is stuck or the competition is won. If all schools and organizations began recognizing and accrediting cheerleading as the sport it is, the goals and dreams of many young women and men can be reached.
